This system manages data retrieved through our antennas located at the Image Processing Laboratory of the University of Valencia:

  • MSG platform from European Space Agency ESA, which images are from the SEVIRI sensor (Spinning Enhanced Visible and Infrared Imager),
  • TERRA and AQUA satellites from NASA, which images are from the MODIS sensor (Moderate Resolution Imaging Spectrometer).
  • Suomi-NPP satellite from NASA, which images are from the VIIRS sensor (Visible Infrared Imaging Radiometer Suite).

Data are processed in near-real time, within 5 minutes of image completion for SEVIRI data, and within 2 hours for MODIS and VIIRS data. Newly processed data are included in the portal every 1 hour.
